Baptisms are usually celebrated in our Parish on the:

  • First Saturdays at 12.15 pm

  • Third Sundays at 12.15 pm

Parents must attend a Baptism Preparation Meeting before their child's Baptism. Meetings are led by Sr Mary Connaire and Kathleen Russell in the Newlife Centre.

Please contact the Parish Office (01 8474547) or the Newlife Centre (01 8474599) to find out the dates of the next preparation meeting.

Baptism is a sacrament of welcome. Jesus invites everybody to come to him and share his life. He especially loves children and wishes them to be close to him. We welcome enquiries from parents about the baptism of their children. The person who is baptised is invited to ‘taste and see that the Lord is good’ (Psalm 34:8). It takes a lifetime to grasp the riches of the mercy and love of God. When the person being baptised is a child, the responsibility for forming the child in the faith rests with the parents and the parish community.

Enquiries from parents about their child's baptism can be made at the New Life Centre. You will be given a Baptism Registration Form to complete and a tentative date for your child's baptism. Please bring a copy of your child's birth certificate when completing the Form.

We invite parents to attend a meeting to explore the meaning of baptism and its implications for their child's life.

PLEASE NOTE THAT SOME DATES WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE DUE TO THE LITURGICAL SEASON or EVENT.
